Overmarine Group unveil new Oceano 44 superyacht concept
The Overmarine Group have unveiled a new superyacht concept, the Mangusta Oceano 44. This 44-metre superyacht concept is ‘designed to radically reinterpret the concept of life at sea’.Designed by the Overmarine Group’s Engineering department in collaboration with designer Alberto Mancini who is behind her stylish interiors and exteriors, the Mangusta Oceano 44 blends charm and technology. The tri-deck superyacht is an evolution of the builder’s previous model, the Mangusta Oceano 43, and includes new features such as a seamless flow throughout the yacht achieved through a series of side and crossing sliding doors, enhancing an indoor-outdoor feeling.
The Mangusta Oceano 44’s beach club has been designed as the focal point for socialising. When her transom is opened and side terraces folded out, the platform becomes a 180-degree marine environment with ample natural light, brightened by the partially-glazed upper deck above. The superyacht also has two infinity pools located on the sun deck and main deck, respectively. The main deck pool is described as an ‘island’, with a sunbathing area surrounding it. The second pool on the sun deck offers panoramic views.
Her interiors are characterised by the combination of warm and cold materials, matte woods, marbles and leather. The master stateroom is located on the main deck and is connected to the upper deck by the skylights on the bottom of the infinity pool, letting natural light flood the room. The master also includes a fold-out balcony. The yacht's main saloon is on the upper deck and has three large sliding doors to open the space to the outdoors.
Performance-wise, the Mangusta Oceano 44 is constructed of steel and aluminium and has a range of 4,500 nautical miles. She has a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots.
