Construction has started on the first model of the newly revealed 49.9-metre Mangusta Oceano 50 superyacht and is due to be completed during 2020. Overmarine has ensured that their latest addition to their line of long-range displacement vessels - designed by their in-house team together with Alberto Mancini Yacht Design - optimises exterior and interior volumes and offers ample amenities.Mangusta Oceano 50 exterior design Photo: Overmarine GroupAreas such as the aft cockpit with private seating area and garage that converts into a spacious beach club, are just some of the innovative features of the Mangusta Oceano 50. After launching the two jet skis and tender measuring over six metres, the inside basin can be filled to create a counter-current swimming pool. A second pool can be found on the sun deck and is surrounded by a dining table and lounge area.

With ceiling-high windows in the main-deck saloon and upper deck, the interior design by Alberto Mancini has been designed to supply guests with full ocean views. The light colours and materials such as linen and silk in light blue and turquoise, white marble and oak wood are contrasted with night-blue ash wood and brass finishes throughout the new superyacht.Mangusta Oceano 50 exterior design Photo: Overmarine Groupโ€œThis is a yacht with a strong, powerful and sleek personality but with the shadows and reflections of a sculpture that plays with empty and full surfaces. Almost as if the aluminium were moulded onto a living thing in motion,โ€ explained designer Alberto Mancini.

Sitting under 500GT and powered by two MTU 12V 2000 M86 engines, she can reach a maximum speed of 16 knots and boasts a range of 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots.
