Marine NewsWire gets major upgrade and facelift

Business

Rhodes Communications, an international public relations and marketing communications company specializing in the marine industry, today announced a major upgrade of its Marine NewsWire subsidiary. The updated wire service will be re-launched at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show which opens October 25.

Marine NewsWire is the only PR wire service dedicated exclusively to the marine industry. The online wire service distributes press releases to journalists, reporters and editors who cover the recreational and commercial sectors of the marine industry worldwide.

“We introduced Marine NewsWire several years ago to provide a unique service for marine PR and marketing professionals,” said Jim Rhodes, president of Rhodes Communications. “It is designed to provide an easy and cost-effective tool for companies to distribute their news announcements to marine media outlets worldwide without spending countless hours creating and maintaining their own media lists.”

“Since then, we have greatly expanded our database, which now features more than 1,500 media contacts in 48 countries, including magazines, newspapers, industry newsletters, electronic media, specialized broadcast media, marine industry Websites, freelance journalists and reporters covering the marine industry,” said Rhodes. “For 2008, we have revamped our packages and simplified our pricing schemes to provide a wider range of choices for tailoring distribution lists to meet our clients’ specific target markets. We will offer price promotion programs aimed at major U.S. and international trade shows, where many companies announce new products for the year.”

Marine NewsWire serves all sectors of the recreational and commercial marine marketplace, including merchant shipping, shipbuilding and repair, commercial and recreational fishing, marine electronics, ocean sciences, offshore oil, international navies and coast guards, passenger ships, powerboats, sailboats, megayachts, small craft and accessories.

“We expect to continue expanding and enhancing Marine NewsWire in the coming months with more value-added services for marine marketing professionals,” added Rhodes. “Watch this space.”
