Kicking off on the 6th September in Porto Cervo, the first day of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup was a great success throughout the five competing divisions with a total of 40 yachts participating. This years edition sees iconic designs return to the event, including the 1997 Wally Genie of the Lamp, and the Swan 65 ketch Shirlaf.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156027/image/large-c0a8ed51990f90aa1cc2db2c32d1e7f3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156027">In the Wally Class - comprised of 13 superyachts - Open Season was the clear winner of the day, with Magic Carpet Cubed coming in second overall. In actual fact, the average length of the current in-build yachts in Turkey is 49 meters, with many of these yachts being motor yachts and motor-sailors as well as gulets.
