On Friday, July 5th, Brazilian based shipyard MCP Yachts launched hull number 085, the 42.5 metre semi displacement aluminium superyacht, the Hemisphere 140, Raffaella II. 150 Professionals worked for 2,5 years on the project.
Built in aluminum, the lightweight yacht was launched in a matter of minutes, using the yard's travelift. In the coming weeks the yacht will finished, and undergo sea trials before being delivered to her owner.
The design of Hemisphere 140 was developed by the engineering department of Naval Shipyard MCP Yachts, with international certification from Lloyd's Register of Shipping. The yard worked together with Dutch naval architects Vripack on the hydrodynamic testing, to ensure the hull would delivere exceptional performance in transoceanic voyages.
The yacht will be cruising the Brazilian coast later this summer.
