Dometic Marine extends its popular proSafe range at this year's METS with the launch of the proSafe MD361 P. Specifically designed to complement the luxury interior of 30 metre+ yachts, the proSafe MD361 P provides a stylish and practical solution for yacht owners, clients and guests to secure high value personal items such as jewellery, watches and money.
"Due to the typical profile of an owner and his guests, it is critical for superyacht cabins to include quality safes that are in keeping with the superyacht's luxury interior. To meet this demand we have introduced the proSafe MD361 P with LED lights and integrated charging facility, which has already been specified by several OEMs," comments Paul Hickinbotham, Director of Sales & Operations, Dometic Marine.
In addition to high quality security features already proven in the demanding International hotel market, the innovative proSafe MD361 P provides an integrated socket* to allow continual charging of electrical products such as mobile phones even when the safe is secured shut. Available in silver, the unit also features interior LED lights enabling users to easily view the safe's contents while also adding to the unit's stylish design.
The proSafe MD361 P features laser-cut doors to provide tight tolerance between door and frames and two 18mm steel pivots for exceptional security. The safe has been designed for DIY installation or professional retrofit and can be installed vertically or horizontally depending on customer's preference or the available space. Safes are typically installed out of view, for instance at the bottom of a cabin wardrobe, under beds or seating and are fixed in place by screwing or bolting to the floor or bulkhead.
Utilizing an individual computerised numerical code locking system, the proSafe MD361 P features an ADA compliant rubber keypad and illuminated LED display. The keypad closure allows multiple access once the four-digit number is shared so is ideally suited to families, shared ownership vessels or superyacht charter operations. The factory default security access number can be changed by safe owner and by individual users as often as required to maintain the highest level of security. Dometic is able to provide unlocking codes or replace keys for its entire proSafe range in the event they are lost by the safe owner.
