After a long, hot show season, the temperature has dropped and it’s time to head to Amsterdam’s RAI Convention Centre for the world’s largest B2B event for the leisure marine industry. With less than 24 hours to go, here’s what you can expect from this year’s METSTRADE.Photo: Bruno Buisson / SuperYacht TimesSustainability will be a common thread throughout this edition of METS, with new ideas and solutions regularly discussed at the E-nnovationLAB. METSTRADE has partnered up with the Water Revolution Foundation for this year’s edition and they will be teaching an all-day course on ‘Sustainability in Practice’ on Tuesday, November 19. METSTRADE has made sure that even the show itself will be more sustainable, going so far as to replace the lights with LEDs and other energy-efficient light sources, and placing carpet tiles made out of entirely recycled materials which will be recycled again for the next METS show. The Boat Builder Awards offer 10 categories focussing on how shipyards of today are innovative, environmentally friendly and collaborative.
Over 330 exhibitors from the industry will be showcased throughout the METSTRADE show and the Superyacht Pavilion, the Construction Material Pavillion and the Marina & Yard Pavillion. You can find SuperYacht Times among these companies at stand 10.621 of the Superyacht Pavilion and we will be hosting the SuperYacht Times Party at the Hotel Arena on November 20th.
