It was three busy days jam-packed with product reveals, award ceremonies, and loads of networking opportunities.This year, visitors and exhibitors benefited from the all-new <a href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="METSTRADE - 2021">METSTRADE</a> Connect virtual platform, which bolstered the networking experience. Ahead of time, users could browse through the list of exhibiting profiles to start matchmaking and scheduling meetings before even entering the RAI. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/211834/image/large-20738d7e8b0361669c52aedf5737a807.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/211834">“<a href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="METSTRADE - 2021">METSTRADE</a> can justifiably claim to be a show like no other, given its unique role within the marine industry’s calendar, Niels Klarenbeek, Maritime Director of <a href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="METSTRADE - 2021">METSTRADE</a>, commented. "However, the disruptive events of this year took that achievement to a whole new level of significance.”&nbsp;This year, safety was high on the agenda and great measures were put in place to safeguard visitors and exhibitors alike. Proof of vaccine or a negative test certificate was mandatory upon entry, and the wearing of masks was strongly encouraged. Due to the current circumstances, tradition had to be forestalled, so Klarenbeek and his team launched <a href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="METSTRADE - 2021">METSTRADE</a> TV in lieu of the round table discussions. Conversation was just as colourful, and the channel had nine hours of broadcasts delivered by leading experts on a whole range of topics. This feature had the added benefit of allowing those that couldn’t make the event in person to stay up to speed and stay involved in the ongoing conversations.&nbsp;As always, the DAME Design award took place and showcased a collection of the world’s best innovations.
