METSTRADE launches networking hub 'shipyard' at the SuperYacht Pavilion

Ahead of the upcoming edition of METSTRADE, event organisers of the SuperYacht Pavilion have announced plans for a significant expansion. This year’s event will see the addition of a new networking area called the 'shipyard', which aims to facilitate connections between yards, suppliers and other businesses.

Located in the new third hall, the networking hub will run alongside METSTRADE from November 13 to the 15. As the superyacht industry comes to grow around the world, the event organisers are committed to ensuring that the SuperYacht Pavilion, the annual B2B meeting place in Amsterdam, is able to meet all of its clients' demands. The addition of a new hall, which will also welcome innovative exhibitors, underlines the event’s commitment to serving to the superyacht industry. METSTRADE SuperYacht Pavilion “The waiting list of highly qualified exhibitors for the SuperYacht Pavilion at METSTRADE 2018 was larger than ever,” comments RAI Amsterdam’s Director Maritime Irene Dros. “Our decision to expand was made because we recognise how much the extra companies will contribute to the pavilion programme in terms of innovation. We have also responded to increasing requests from the industry for more networking space in general, and for places where custom yards can host meetings in privacy.”

The new third hall will feature the same decorative style as the SuperYacht Pavilion and include a number of key stands around the networking hub, which is set to becoming the meeting spot for those seeking networking opportunities. In addition, project meeting rooms will be available for hire by custom superyacht builders to offer privacy when needed. These spaces will have a strict entrance policy which follows a pre-selected guest list for those related to the projects.
