Mondomarine and Gregory Marshall team up on M42 Atlas project

Written by Charl van Rooy

Developed in collaboration with Northrop & Johnson and designer Gregory Marshall, Mondomarine presented the industry with a new 42-metre explorer yacht during this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Named Atlas, the concept draws on Marshall’s experience in the field of explorer yacht design.

Her tri-deck design makes the most of the available space onboard while still providing a comfortable experience for guests at sea. Exterior deck spaces are characterised by a large aft deck designed to carry 8.35-metre long range sports tender that is ideal for fishing, and a three-person submarine. Four Jet Skis, an assortment of dive gear and watersports equipment complete the adventure fun onboard. A private crow’s nest provides the most luxurious experience on the yacht; tranquility.

The interiors are set up in a way that guests and owners will be able to comfortably accommodate them over longer periods at sea. A five-stateroom layout provides the 10 guests with generously sized quarter, instead of cramming in 12 guests and risk losing that precious sense of privacy throughout the yacht. Each en suite cabin is treated to exceptional views through oversized portholes.

The FLIBS 2016 comes to a close today, Monday 7thNovember.
