Mondomarine has announced the launch of its brand new Classic line. An epitome of classic Italian style, Mondomarine intends to upgrade the unique style of the historic Mondomarine Shipyard, now part of Palumbo Superyachts. Second to their range, the Classic line will stand next to the Discovery line and the two distinctive superyacht concepts Eidos and Sea Falcon.

First to the range is the Classic 50-metres, developed by Luca Dini Studio, who had previously come up with the concept design for the Discovery line. For Luca Dini, “the 60-metre motor yacht Sarastar delivered by Mondomarine in 2017 was my starting point.”Photo: Mondo MarineLuca Dini recalls how, in terms of the exterior design, “our target was an evolution, yes, but without distorting the original design of that boat characterised by a sporty and elegant footprint with a combination of corners and curves, sinuous shapes and angles that, far from being strident, was quite harmonious. In short, a creative review that, paradoxical as it may seem, translates into a Modern Classic.”
True to Italian style, the new design incorporates a stark contrast between sharp edges and soft curves that give the Mondomarine Classic line a consistently graceful look. The aluminium hull and superstructure, embellished with detailed engravings, enhance the appearance of the superyacht with a play of light and shadows on a sunny day. Luca Dini drew inspiration from classic Italian cars like Ferrari and the Lamborghini Gran Turismo model for this particular superyacht line.

Thanks to her lightweight frame, her twin 12V4000M73L MTU engines allow her to cruise at 18.5 knots and a maximum speed of 22 knots at a range of 3,500 knots at 12 knots.
