A closer look: Fincantieri's 66m superyacht concept Griffin

Italian yard Fincantieri Yachts unveiled new details of their latest 66-metre superyacht concept at the Versilia Yachting Rendezvous last week: the Griffin 66. The project is a collaboration between the yard, Castlemaine International, Christopher Seymour Designs and Guido de Groot Design.  Griffin  66 exterior design The Griffin 66 is the smallest of a new collection of motor yachts from Fincantieri, the Griffin series, which will also be available in 77-metre, 88-metre and 99-metre versions.

Griffin  66 exterior design With the model debuting at the Viareggio-based show, the superyacht displays contemporary exterior lines and a timelessly elegant design. As the shipyard explains, the name 'Griffin' was chosen because the project emulates the powerful and majestic mythological creature in its bold and graceful lines, with her exterior lines bringing together functionality and beauty. 

Griffin  66 exterior design Her contemporary architectural look, taken together with the finest furnishing materials and solutions, lends the interiors a stylistic imprint that sophisticated in its minimalist elegance, yet at simultaneously warm and welcoming. As is crucial for the superyacht experience, large panoramic windows enable her guests to enjoy close contact with the sea.Griffin 66 interior designGriffin  66 exterior design Griffin 66 will have a beam of 12.3-metres, a draught of 3.8-metres, a volume of 1,575 GT and a top speed of 17 knots. On board, she will accommodate up to 12 guests across six staterooms, with a crew of 15 also accommodated on board. She will also have room for an eight-metre tender. Griffin  66 exterior design
