Contract signed between UAE Ministry of Energy and Leisure Marine Association

Abeer Al Shaali, the Chairperson of the Leisure Marine Association MENA, and Capt. Abdullah Alhayyas, the Director of Maritime Transport Affairs Department at the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) on March 2, 2023 at the Dubai International Boat Show. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Hessa Al Malek, Executive Director of the Maritime Sector at the Federal Transportation Authority for Land and Maritime, and the Board of Directors of the Leisure Marine Association. 

Dubai International Boat Show 203The Leisure Marine Association, based in Dubai, is a marine trade association that represents the interests of the boating and yachting industry and is an advocate for the leisure marine community across the Middle East and North Africa. The UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure is one of UAE’s federal entities, responsible for spreading public awareness of energy conservation. These two organisations signing an MoU, a nonbinding agreement that states each party’s intentions to form a new partnership, will accelerate the growth of the leisure marine industry in the UAE, a vital contributor to the region’s maritime sector.
