RMK Marine have announced that Muir Winches Australia have been appointed as suppliers to their new 45m Motor Yacht project.
The 45m superyacht designed by Ron Holland, with interior by Design Unlimited is progressing with the main metal structures now complete the superyacht has been moved into position in its fit-out workshop. The crew accommodation joinery work is almost complete on the mock-up and the space looks wonderfully comfortable. The superyacht is due for launch at the end of 2010.
Muir have supplied several key products to this project including 2 X VRC13000 Hydraulic Anchor Winches to suit 22mm U2 Stud Link Chain, 2 X 22mm U2 Stud Link Chain Anchoring Systems (Chain Stoppers) and 2 X VC8000 Hydraulic Docking Capstans. All of the products are manufactured to Lloyd’s certification.
Muir Winches Australia is a world-leading manufacturer of marine anchor winches and windlasses, anchoring and docking systems and deck equipment. Their products are fitted on a variety of vessels ranging from superyachts to pleasure craft, fast ferries, defence and commercial vessels from 5m to 140m. The design team, using 3D design packages work closely with yards ensuring the best winch layout for the most effective application of the systems. Muir is represented in Turkey by Derya Marine.
RMK Marine recently launched the 52m Sparkman & Stephens designed ketch, and currently has several superyachts in build including 3 Oyster Superyachts, the first of which is due for launch in 2010, and several large refit projects underway.
