In September 2015 Mural Yachts signed the contract for a new 46.32 metre superyacht. Named project Meteor, the steel cutting started in November 2015 in Turkey and Mural Yachts has undertaken all aspects of her naval architecture and design.
Spread over four decks, she has been created with a family-focus at the heart of her design. On board she will accommodate up to 12 guests over several well appointed cabins, as well as a crew of seven. Throughout her interior spaces, the use of large windows ensure an abundance of natural light as well as a feeling of openness.
Outside, Meteor’s sun deck is one of her central spaces for entertainment, with a wet bar, bathing platform, and three separate seating areas. The aft upper deck provides an alternative area for sunbathing as well as a generous al fresco dining area, whilst another seating area is found in front of the wheelhouse.
Forward of the upper deck seating area, the foredeck is easily accessed and can be utilised for a multitude of purposes. Low bulwarks make this deck feel even more spacious. The aft main deck allows for more sheltered dining, and from here, the large swim platform is accessed.
She will be powered by twin Cummins engines, providing her with a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. Amongst her many amenities on board, Meteorwill also accommodate a 5.2 metre tender.
Mural Yachts informs us that she is expected to be completed towards the end of 2017, in which she will then be delivered to her Turkish owner.
