MY&T completes diesel electric YuKo and signs big contracts

Last week we saw a yacht called YuKo in Port Hercule of Monaco. It was a nice surprise to see a beautiful yacht of which was nothing known yet. While searching for more information we came in touch with Peter Landers Jr of Monaco Yachting & Technologies, the shipyard who build YuKo.

Peter told us the following on both Yuko and MY&T: "Monaco Yachting & Technologies is a very discrete builder specialized in the construction of fine motor yachts to the highest standards. All MY&T Yachts feature unique concepts and advanced but proven technical solutions for demanding Clients. Currently, we have two 73m (2100GT each) and one 50m (700GT) in construction."

The MY&T 39m is probably one of the most sophisticated vessels in her class featuring azimuthing twin-propeller thrusters in combination with two in-board mounted 375kW electric motors. A full diesel-electric powerplant provides very low noise levels and exceptional fuel consumption of only 120l/hour at 11 knots. Range at this speed is 4000nm with 10% reserve.

All three generator sets are from Caterpillar, Zero-speed stabilizer have been supplied by Quantum, thrusters come from Schottel.
