Nauta Design unveils new superyacht by Baltic Yachts

The new 112’ sailing yacht project by Nauta Design and by Reichel-Pugh is a superyacht with a double personality. On one hand, she is an elegant and highly comfortable cruiser, yet on the other hand, she is a powerful and light displacement (just 90 tons) racer.

This 34 mt. sloop, currently under construction at Baltic Yachts in Finland, a worldwide renowned Shipyard specialized in hi-tech construction, is the fruit of a successful meeting between a highly experienced, very demanding client and the Milanese Studio.

The client requested that his new yacht was race successfully in several regattas. Nauta Design accomplished this with a high performance hull, the use of pre-preg carbon sandwich, a powerful sailplan and remarkable stability - achieved through a smart weight arrangement and through her 5.50 meter draft (3.50 meter with the keel completely lifted).

At the same time the client requested that the yacht would offer guests elements normally found on much larger yachts, such as a large and bright deck house to enjoy an all-around view, four spacious guest cabins, including a large owner’s cabin, three comfortable crew cabins and a functional and huge galley.

The interior styling is classic, with a combination of mahogany and white leather. Weight is saved by the use of composite panels, covered by thin veneer.

Construction is well under way at Baltic Yachts in Finland, and the launching is scheduled for this year’s summer.
