The 35-metre Nautor Swan sailing yacht Fancy has completed her sea trials in the Gulf of Ostrobothnia in Finland. The new sailing yacht is the first in the Swan 108 series to hit the water and the results were extremely positive.
Fancy is the result of a collaboration between long-standing Nautor Swan naval architect Germàn Frers and Micheletti + Partners for her exterior design. Partnered with interiors by Loro Piana Interiors (Misa Poggi), Nautor Swan CEO Giovanni Pomati has carefully combined a team of highly skilled experts to create a beautiful and unique yacht.
Built with a full carbon hull, Fancy uses epoxy Sprint technology from carbon moulds and will be registered with RINA charter classification. The Swan 108 is a prime example of the Nautor Swan philosophy and pays homage to the company’s heritage in a contemporary style.
Fancy features a modern and contemporary interior design with a combination of light and dark shades to create depth and intensify her intimate atmosphere. She can comfortably sleep up to nine guests across four staterooms, as well as a crew of five.
One of her key features onboard Fancy is her dual-acting transom door, which allows the stern to open along part of the aft deck, providing an oversized beach club. This makes tender management easier without compromising on her interior volume. 
The coamings of Fancy have also been widened in the aft part of the cockpit, to allow for a further outboard position of the steering stations. As well as this, her extra-large main companionway provides plenty of light for the interior.
In terms of propulsion, Fancy is equipped with a single Scania engine which provides her with a cruising speed of 10 knots. Fancy is now ready to sail the Mediterranean waters in the upcoming weeks, and will make her worldwide debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023.
According to SYT iQ, Nautor Swan currently has several other yachts in-build at the Boatbuilding Technology Centre, including the Swan 88, hull two of the Swan 108 series and a Swan 128.
