New 160m superyacht concept revealed: Project XIA

Globe Regal Yachting have recently unveiled a 160-metre superyacht concept in collaboration with the New York-based studio Gill Schmid Design and the Hijos de Barreras shipyard in Vigo, Spain. 

Project XIA 160m concept exterior design Photo: Globe Regal YachtingTo be built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Project XIA would feature 22 guest suites, including one large owner's suite over two floors and two private owner's decks, as well as accommodating a crew of 64. As for her power, this would either come from a twin screw direct drive or a diesel-electric option.

With a huge wealth of amenities available on board, Project XIA could offer a full height aquarium accessed through a double height entrance lobby, a casino and bar, a nightclub with glass-bottomed pool, two outdoor jacuzzis, a spa, a 3D cinema space and much more.

For those who want to explore the seas and skies, Project XIA would also include two helicopter pads and one hangar and two expansive tender garages. 

In addition, for truly living the superyacht lifestyle, the 160-metre superyacht could include a showcase wine vault, formal dining space for 30+ guests and a jacuzzi and 270-degree observation lounge located at the bow.
