The latest sailing yacht concept from the Milan-based design studio of Matteo Picchio is the following 30 metre vessel: MP 100’. Designed for an American owner, Picchio’s design brief listed the necessity of a high quality, high performance racing vessel with significantly lower production costs than comparable yachts in this category.

Guests are accommodated over four en suite cabins forward, and amongst her highlights on board is a substantial owner’s suite with direct access from the private lounge area to the large beach area.

The first is a semi-open space of 320 square-meters on the main deck, with opening terraces, extendable to 400 square-meters, and with a gym and beach club aft. Produced by UK-based Insensys, the system is based on three rotating carbon fibre masts capable of deploying up to 2,396 square-metres of sail.
