The French shipyard Ocea Yachts have recently unveiled their latest superyacht concept: the 38-metre OCEA 125XP explorer, developed in cooperation with Joubert-Nivelt Design and Borella Art Design. Photo: Ocea Yachts The silhouette of this latest concept, designed by Michel Joubert, demonstrates its primary function as a deep-sea vessel designed for exploring and crossing oceans. On account of its high bulbous bow, the 38-metre superyacht could tackle all weather conditions, with its 5,000 nautical mile range making possible voyages to all corners of the world (including Greenland and Spitsbergen - due to its ice classification). This reasonably rare feature on yachts would be reassuring for owners when the ship is in a region with little shelter. In addition, the aft deck can also encompass other toys on the starboard side, with further storage provided on the sundeck for lightweight craft. Photo: Ocea Yachts
With her interior arrangements designed by the Borella Art Design agency, guests on this 38-metre explorer superyacht would be immersed in the surrounding landscape. The sundeck is topped by a crow's nest, the upper deck lounge features large picture windows and the panoramic quarter deck offers excellent wind protection for luxurious al-fresco dining.

When you return on board after adventuring, you want warmth and calm. That's why I set out to create a world that is real and poetic, comfortable, and unashamedly luxurious, all at once."
This is reflected in the choice of soft colours and top-quality materials in the interior: koto, a creamy white African wood with a flecked appearance, and louro faia, a South-American lacewood with a meshed structure, along with wool and silk rugs, chromework, supple full-grain leathers, Cristal Lalique decorative items, and more "The OCEA 125XP is the culmination of various projects on the theme of calm and lightness. It's the most beautiful product we've ever made," adds Nicola Borella.
According to Ocea Yachts, this explorer superyacht would be ready for delivery starting 2020.
