New 42m explorer new build project sold

New-Build

Floating Life Charter & Brokerage has today announced the sale of a 42 metre explorer vessel, the second vessel in the Series K Floating Life range. The news follows the sale of the first unit, the K-40, in October 2015 to an American client, which the Italian shipyard CCN revealed in January they have been signed to construct.

Studio Sculli will undertake the K-42’s naval architecture and exterior design. Like her predecessor, she will be a semi-custom design built with high quality materials and finished to satisfy the individual client's needs. Based on a tried and proven platform, every Series K client is offered the opportunity to choose the superstructure, various interior and exterior lay outs, finishing and décor according to their own personal taste.

The shipyard in which the new project will be constructed is yet to be chosen: following the same process used for the first yacht, the yard will be chosen by Andrea Pezzini, CEO of Floating Life and project manager for the new build, by means of a notice of tender inviting the world's best international yards to compete.

For the entire Series K Floating Life will offer a complete package, from design to yacht management, including assistance and charter promotion once the yacht is launched.
