Naval Architect Matteo Magherini of FG Yacht Design has shared with SYT his latest superyacht concept developed together with the team at Duck Design. The new 42m Fast Cruiser concept was created as a blend of a modern and traditional take on a performance cruiser.
The wheelhouse’s square lines are reminiscent of larger sailing yachts of a more traditional style. This raised structure provides the generous indoor area with excellent views and an abundance of natural lightwhile remaining sleek enough to provide the helmsman with good visibility over the foredeck.
The yacht’s tender is stored below deck on the foredeck in a custom built space. This area turns into a Jacuzzi once the tender has been launched.
The modern hull shape leads aft to an open bathing area where guests can enjoy all the sailing action from, or use as an open-plan beach club when at anchor.
