Investing further in the US market to better serve our charter yacht fleet, Ocean Independence (OCI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Daphne d’Offay as CA charter manager this week in the newly relocated Fort Lauderdale office. Daphne comes with a strong charter background and will be working on developing OCI’s US charter fleet as well as helping maximise charter potential for existing clients.
A South Florida native and born to the water, Daphne’s first home as an infant was even a sailboat! So after obtaining her bachelor’s of science degree in Occupational Therapy and working in the healthcare industry for a few years, she was called back to the sea and the yachting industry.
Daphne worked as a stewardess aboard private and charter yachts cruising the East Coast of the U.S, Bahamas and Caribbean as well as the Eastern Med, primarily Turkey and Greece, with five Atlantic crossings over the course of six years. Eventually taking a break from constant travels she was provided with the opportunity to learn more about charter and sales in a brokerage environment. Now after five years in charter marketing and brokering, her passion continues to grow.
