New Horizon FD87 superyacht Skyline unveiled
Horizon has unveiled their latest superyacht model in their fast displacement series: the 27.4-metre FD87 Skyline.
This 27.45-metre superyacht is the latest addition to the Cor D. Rover-designed Fast Displacement series and was inspired by the FD85 Horizon superyacht which debuted at the 2017 Cannes and Monaco International Boat Shows. Hull one of the FD87 Skyline is expected to make her debut in the first quarter of this year.
As evident from the images, Skyline sports an eye-catching blue hull and contrasting white superstructure. In addition, Skyline retains many of the FD85’s unique features, including an expansive 23’3” beam and a width of 7,07m, a spacious on-deck master bedroom with four guest staterooms and two crew cabins below deck, and floor-to-ceiling windows located in the salon and dining area.

In place of the raised pilothouse found on the FD85, the new owner of the FD87 requested a fully enclosed bridge with a helm station to provide additional indoor entertaining and lounging options and allow for an extended boating season in even when faced with colder climates. The bridge has access to a Portuguese walkway leading forward to the bow and a seating area.

Other stand-out features on board include a large country kitchen, a spacious beach club and a hydraulic bathing platform. Skyline is a new design launched for the US market and features a beach club and swim platform for relaxing close to the water or enjoying watersports activities.
Like on the FD85, the new FD87 Skyline features Horizon’s new High-Performance Piercing Bow (HPPB) hull design and has been equipped with stabilizers for maximum performance and comfort. Powered by CAT C18s engines of 1,136hp each, she boasts a 3,480-gallon fuel capacity yielding a 1,780nm range at 10 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 16.6 knots.
