Johnson Yachts have released the first rendering of their new flagship, the Johnson 115, which they have confirmed is in build.
A new yacht, a new hull and a new tri-deck design - the Johnson 115 is the 35-metre answer to requests for larger vessels. “In recent years, we have been getting quite a few enquiries about building tri-deck superyachts,” said Andy Huang, president of Johnson Yachts. “It’s time for us to come up with a stunning new breed of yacht that will fascinate the world.”
Designed by Johnson’s in-house design team together with Bill Dixon of Dixon Yacht Design, the yacht’s hull has a voluminous forward section as a result of the high freeboard and straight bow. Her tri-deck profile features large windows preserved by inlaid bulwarks. Inside, the Johnson 115 can accommodate guests in five or six staterooms, all of which have ‘high-levels of customisation available’. Known for their large-superyacht interiors, Design Unlimited have created the interior layout and as with all Johnson yachts, the furnishings are built to the owners’ discretion and specification.
The superyacht has an open and social layout with areas such as a saloon opening out onto the afterdeck, a forward dining area, sky lounge, a versatile foredeck area and a beach club aft. The transom garage also reveals a beach club for superyacht-style entertainment and can accommodate both the 5-metre and 5.5-metre tenders.
Johnson Yachts are to reveal more details about the new flagship at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and SYT will report as more news is released.
