German yacht designer Frank Neubelt, together with Bilgin Yachts and BehneMar Yachting, have come up with a new 46-metre superyacht concept. Named Lay 46, the new design is a focus on the mid-size superyacht range and what is possible in this exciting market segment today.
Under his newly formed project team, German Yacht Couture, Frank Neubelt designed a comfortable, sea-going 46-metre displacement yacht capable of reaching 20 knots. Lay 46 is developed with a hybrid power plant to achieve this speed efficiently and with one eye on mother nature. Near-silent cruising and resting at anchor is achieved through an innovative electric power system.
Lay 46 is designed to measure less than 500 GT with a beam spanning nine metres.
