Following the purchase of Cala del Forte on 6th December 2016 by Société Monégasque Internationale Portuaire (SMIP), construction works on the new Monaco-based marina officially begun last week under the patronage of Monaco. The marina is expected to be fully operational by summer 2018, with the full delivery of all offices and amenities completed by summer 2019.
Cala del Forte will be fully integrated into the management of the Ports of Monaco and the centralised booking system in Monaco will now manage Port Hercule, the port of Fontvieille and Cala del Forte.
The new marina, located in Ventimiglia, will include a total of 171 berths ranging from 6.5-metres to 60-metres. Berths will be able for purchase on the basis of 40-year leases solely through Supertoys Monaco, making Cala del Forte one of the longest available concessions on the coast upon completion.
