Moonen Yachts prepares for new investment partner

A new Moonen Yachts investor might soon be announced, reported the Dutch shipyard this week as it is currently negotiating a partnership, reporting that talks are ‘in an advanced stage’. A successful negotiation will see the company focus on regaining the strong market it once enjoyed by increasing production in a sustainable way. Johan Dubbelman, CEO of Moonen Yachts, confirmed that Moonen will continue focusing on yachts in the 30 to 50-metre size range, but intend stepping up production following a successful agreement. “I see the cooperation with the proposed investor as a very positive development and a perfect opportunity to expand. By teaming up with this reputable investor, we can secure future growth, not in length - as we remain in the 30 to 50-metre segment - but in numbers. This impulse matches the company’s strategy and is completely in line with future perspectives.” Moonen Martinique Brigadoon launch in Groot AmmersPhoto: Rolf van de Wal

The new investor is said to share the same passion for yacht building as the shipyard and appreciates the quality and design of the current Moonen fleet.
