A few weeks ago we published an article on a new event to be held in Port Adriano, Mallorca SuperYacht Days. The event will showcase around 35 yachts for sale and charter by six yacht brokers with a presence on the Island; Ocean Independence, Camper & Nicholsons International, Dahm International, Fraser Yachts, Burgess and Northrop & Johnson.
Driving forces behind this event are Marc Haendle of Ocean Independence and Arne Ploch of Camper & Nicholsons International. “It started with an idea I had for an open day in the new Port Adriano”, says Marc. He continues, “I discussed the idea with Arne Ploch of CNI and since he was as enthusiastic as well, so we decided to make it happen. We contacted Port Adriano, who had just extended their marina, and they liked the idea of hosting 35 yachts in their new facility”.
With 35 yachts planned to attend the event it could be considered a yacht show, but Marc stresses, “it was never the intention to create another yacht show, it’s more comparable to an open day, an event organised by brokers for brokers and their client’s needs. We need to do something extra these days to promote the yachts of our clients and to attract new clients. The event is a little bigger than I expected and to give as much as possible buyers the opportunity to view the yachts, we extended the event over a couple of days, instead of just one open day.”
The “by invitation only” event will take place over the last weekend in April from the 28th to the 30th and will showcase around 35 yachts from 24 metres up to 60 metres. Registration is closed as already too much yachts have registered an interest to attend the event.
