New training department at Ocean Safety

Ocean Safety, established since 1989, has recently opened an ‘in-house’ Training Facility. Designed to provide in depth servicing and technical product knowledge to the commercial and leisure marine industry, this new Training Division also aims to give peace of mind to the individual leisure user.

The Training Courses offered are tailored to suit each specification, whether it is a full Liferaft Service Course provided for a certified liferaft service station or a Technical Awareness Course to the public or members of the marine industry, requiring enhanced information about marine safety products and their applications. The Division is also able to assist Coding Surveyors, appointed to carry out surveys and inspections under the MCA’s Code of Practice for small Commercial Vessels, to have a greater understanding of a variety of marine safety equipment and its applications.

Product Awareness Courses are to be offered to individual families or crews who can then be fully confident in their safety equipment, its application, deployment and general maintenance. Other courses include;

• Customised Safety Courses
• Technical Courses for Ocean Safety appointed servicing stations
• Technical Courses for Product Awareness and Application for the marine trade
• Technical Courses for commercial users
• Training Courses and advice for marine surveyors, brokers and charter operations
• Technical and Product Awareness Courses for professionals at sea
• Product Awareness Courses for leisure users

Each course can be customised to suit commercial, leisure and individual requirements with information on appropriate products and training for correct use.
