Oceanco recently invited a group of children to introduce them to the world of yacht building. The event proved to be a success, leaving a lasting impression on the young participants – as well as the older Oceanco representatives – and sparking their imagination.
During the event, children were treated to guided tours of Oceanco's cutting-edge shipyard, where they had the opportunity to witness firsthand the process of yacht building. From the design spaces to the production facilities to the captains office, the young visitors were immersed in the various stages of construction, gaining insight into the fascinating process of bringing a yacht to life.
"I never knew building a yacht could be so cool!" exclaimed one of the children, age 10, as he marvelled at the impressive sight of one of the projects under construction and seeing the many Oceanco's skilled craftsmen at work.
Hands-on activities provided further opportunities for learning and exploration. Children had the chance to get creative with design concepts by exploring all the features that should be on a yacht (helping Oceanco’s sales team to get creative), experiment with sustainable materials (painting bears in collaboration with Bolidt), and step into the role of a yacht chef.
"It was cool to see how everything works and to learn about the different jobs involved in building a yacht," said one of the children, age 12, with a grin.
The event also featured inspiring talks from Oceanco's experts, who shared their passion for yacht building and offered valuable insights into the industry.
"We were inspired to see the enthusiasm and curiosity of the children who participated in our event," said Paris Baloumis, Group Marketing Director. "It was truly motivating to hear their questions, ideas and experience yacht building through their eyes."
