In an exclusive talk, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/55" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Omega Architects (Company)">Omega Architects</a> reveals the design brief behind its much-anticipated 60-metre all-aluminium full-custom motor yacht, Project Skyfall and standout features of Project Elle. According to Frank Laupman, designer and founder of the Dutch architecture and yacht design firm, Skyfall aims to “exude power and speed in every single detail,” through her striking profile and bespoke exterior design details. The design and functionality of Project Skyfall combine a fisherman’s practicality with the excitement and speed of faster yachts and in fact, the architectural firm boasts that the vessel will be “the most powerful diesel-driven superyacht ever built in Holland.” <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/204934/image/large-a93eaa474302f0da1d78f29d427063dc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/204934">Though her maximum cruising speed sits at 15.5 knots, with 22,000 horsepower behind her, the yacht feeds four water jets that drive her between 34 and 37 knots depending on load conditions. Considering her 920 GT volume, this is no mean feat. “Skyfall has inspiration from sports cars and she is aggressive and sporty,” explains Laupman. That aggression is set forth in paint schemes that accentuate her speed and power and contrasted with the leisurely layout of her owner’s open air lifestyle.&nbsp;But Skyfall is not the only yacht that has the design firm’s creative cogs spinning. “We designed 75-metre concept Elle in collaboration with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/460" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Van Oossanen Naval Architects (Company)">Van Oossanen Naval Architects</a>,” Laupman tells us. “The aft arched superstructure of Project Elle offers both the exposed area where the 8-metre infinity pool is placed, as well as the protected area directly aft of the saloon. The first renderings show a large alfresco lounge area at her bow, offering the perfect space for guests to entertain or relax.&nbsp;In terms of performance, Apex is powered by twin <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1409" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="MTU (Company)">MTU</a> engines, providing her with a top speed of 28 knots, a cruising speed of 22 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.&nbsp;

According to the designers, the concept was conceived as a purpose-built world cruise cruiser capable of supporting extended voyages while accommodating a range of owner lifestyles.A key feature of the project is the availability of three distinct configurations built on a common platform.The Fisherman version is focused on a generous open aft deck designed to accommodate a substantial tender and a selection of water toys, without needing a dedicated chase boat. In Zero Mode or also known as Silent Mode, M80 would operate fully on electric propulsion, delivering vibration-free navigation with zero local emissions for up to eight hours, which would enable access to environmentally protected areas.In Eco-Hybrid Mode, diesel generators operate at optimal efficiency while electric motors provide propulsion, reducing fuel consumption by an estimated 25 to 30 percent. He therefore concluded that you can advertise on YachtWorld and on other sites and the contract simply prevented you from pretending a Boats Group listing came from another platform, meaning the clause is not an exclusive dealing arrangement.Finally, Brill Maritime argued that Boats Group had dramatically increased its prices. The judge responded that high prices alone are not an antitrust violation. The court cited multiple precedents saying a legal monopolist is generally allowed to charge whatever prices it wants. To prove monopolisation, Brill Maritime needed to show that the higher prices resulted from illegal exclusionary conduct.In conclusion, the judge accepted that Boats Group may hold monopoly power in the US online boat-listing market, but ruled that the plaintiffs failed to show that Boats Group acquired or maintained that position through illegal anticompetitive conduct.United States District Judge, Roy K. Altman dismissed the complaint without prejudice, meaning the plaintiff is able to resubmit an amended complaint, with a deadline of 30 June 2026.&nbsp;The lawsuit also contained claims under Florida law, with the federal court declining to hear the state claims as the federal antitrust claims were dismissed. The 73.3-metre Perini Navi superyacht Nautilus has been spotted making her second visit to Guernsey.

TISG and RYI have announced the delivery of the first Picchiotti Gentleman 24M yacht, which has been christened Gentleman.
