Omega Yachts’ 101’ Forte class explorer yacht launched

New-Build
Written by
Charl van Rooy

Launched at the Italian shipyard MMGI earlier this month is yachting brand Omega Yachts’ first 101 foot Forte class explorer yacht. The vessel takes on a masculine and true ocean-going exterior designed and engineered by Innave that is paired with luxurious yet functional interior spaces. The yacht will now undergo final outfitting and sea trials now with her delivery expected to take place over the coming weeks.

The vessel is built for comfort on the high seas with an extra-thick steel hull, four stabilisers and a lightweight aluminium superstructure to reduce any top-heavy rolling affect. Her beam of 8 metres adds further stability but also more space for her customized interior.

Hull number one is fitted with heavy duty CAT C32 engines allowing the vessel to reach a range of 4,000 while cruising at 10.5 knots.
