Launched by Alpha Custom Yachts in 2020, the 31.2-metre yacht Andreika IV is the result of a yacht owner turned yacht builder who didn’t want to have to go bigger to get more from his yacht. SuperYacht Times takes a closer look on board the not-so-traditional Alpha Spritz 102 yacht.Photo: Etkin Gürel / Pozitif StudyoThe backbone of this yacht is her 8.10-metre beam, large for a yacht of Andreika IV’'s size. Designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta, her beam allows for her impressive 150 GT of interior volume, 2.2-metre high ceilings and an unconventional layout that skips the frivolity of formal saloons and dining areas for more commonly used, guest-friendly spaces.Photo: Alpha Custom YachtsAs the founder of Alpha Custom Yachts, Andreika IV’'s owner wanted to create a yacht that fit his personal needs. Crucially, he wanted an onboard space that optimises the guest experience, as guests on board typically tended to be his closest friends and family.
Photo: Alpha Custom Yachts Andreika IV’'s layout places emphasis on casual spaces like the sky lounge and fly bridge. This resulted in a large aft cockpit, reminiscent of a sky lounge. This space features an adjacent bar and a dining space for up to 12 guests with glass windows on two sides to protect from poor weather conditions. Aft, there is a large L-shaped lounge area and a flush plunge pool that can comfortably accommodate as many as eight guests. From here, guests can access the 8-metre wide hydraulic beach platform that can host a tender and is easily transformed into an additional dining area.Photo: Etkin Gürel / Pozitif StudyoPhoto: Etkin Gürel / Pozitif StudyoPhoto: Alpha Custom YachtsPhoto: Alpha Custom YachtsOn the upper deck, the fly bridge is accessed via a staircase from the aft cockpit. Andreika IV boasts an 87 square-metre fly bridge complete with panoramic views, also quite large for a yacht her size. Here, there is an additional dining area for up to 12 guests, plus a detached bar with a separate working station for preparing drinks.Photo: Etkin Gürel / Pozitif StudyoPhoto: Alpha Custom YachtsPhoto: Alpha Custom YachtsInside, the aft cockpit is connected via glass sliding doors to the yacht’s main saloon. Below, up to 12 guests are accommodated across five staterooms consisting of two identical VIP cabins, two twin cabins outfitted with Pullman beds and a master cabin. All guest accommodations are equipped with marble en-suite bathrooms and large windows. The master suite features an in-built desk for remote working, a lounge area, a walk-in closet and a spacious bathroom finished with marble.Photo: Jonsof CorpPhoto: Etkin Gürel / Pozitif StudyoPhoto: Etkin Gürel / Pozitif StudyoPhoto: Etkin Gürel / Pozitif StudyoPerformance-wise, Andreika IV can reach a top speed of 16 knots and cruise comfortably at 10 knots with a 2,450 nautical mile range thanks to her twin Caterpillar engines.
