France-based builder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/416" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ocea (Company)">OCEA</a> has announced that the fourth hull in the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/416" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ocea (Company)">OCEA</a> Commuter 108 yacht series is nearing completion. The 32.7-metre motor yacht has entered the final stages of construction in Les Sables-d’Olonne. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/272520/image/large-55ac3301d4b174db658fc91eecb2b58e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/272520">The hull of the custom-made project was built in <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/416" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ocea (Company)">OCEA</a>’s aluminium workshop in Fontenay-le-Comte, before being transferred in May 2022. The temperature is rigorously controlled for the resin to set, and her plastic film is filled with heated air to aid the process. Produced by UK-based Insensys, the system is based on three rotating carbon fibre masts capable of deploying up to 2,396 square-metres of sail. The <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti Group</a> has signed an agreement with Eni Sustainable Mobility for the supply and use of the biofuel HVOlution for yachts. The new biofuel is produced from 100 percent renewable raw materials and marks the start of the company’s agreement to target decarbonisation. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/272427/image/large-d480b3b5acb4e7469238cb589bbb0ff1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/272427">HVOlution is made from 100% Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO) and is produced in Eni Sustainable Mobility’s Venice and Gela biorefineries. The company uses raw waste materials and vegetable residues, as well as oils generated from crops that do not compete with the food chain.From Summer 2023, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6046" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut-Benetti Group (Company)">Azimut|Benetti Group</a> will introduce HVOlution to replace the fossil-based fuel currently used by the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/358" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut Yachts (Company)">Azimut</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a> brands.
