First look onboard Tecnomar’s 44m innovative catamaran This Is It

The Italian Sea Group has unveiled interior renders of the futuristic 43.5-metre catamaran This Is It. The superyacht is set to make her global debut at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show next week.This Is It yacht exterior designOffering a striking exterior design, the catamaran was launched just a few days ago showcasing a generous volume of approximately 750 GT, featuring naval architecture penned by Lateral Naval Architects. While her exterior design was imagined by Tecnomar, her opulent interior aesthetic derived from the drawing boards of Mattia Piro and Gian Marco Campanino of The Italian Sea Group. Owner of the catamaran Tasos Papanastasiou commented on his vision stating, “This Is It was born not as a concept study but as a yacht to be built; therefore, the yacht's design had to be feasible even if it is completely new in terms of contents and style."This Is It yacht interior designShowcasing an automotive-inspired design, focusing on fluid lines and dynamic shapes, This Is It’s interior design mirrors her exterior. Blending Alcantara suede fabrics, metallic surfaces, bronze, platinum and gold metals with a neutral colour palette and glossy leather, the catamaran will boast smooth interior finishings. Discussing the design choices Gian Marco Campanino stated, “The materials used result from careful research and great craftsmanship, necessary for their creation and application on complex surfaces and detailing”, expanding further he commented, “Smooth, cocooning, and curvilinear are perfect words to describe the interior of the yacht, plus a touch of pure luxury due to the use of sophisticated and precious materials."This Is It yacht interior designRead: Radical 44m Tecnomar catamaran This Is It launched

Wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows and thoughtfully situated skylights, This Is It will be filled with a plethora of natural light onboard. Up to 12 guests can be accommodated across her staterooms which include a large owner’s stateroom, complete with a private balcony and a VIP stateroom. Each stateroom is equipped with a luxury ensuite bathroom, boasting an elegant colour palette. The catamaran will also house enough space to accommodate up to 12 crew members.

This Is It’s main saloon features a dedicated bar and games area, with plenty of comfortable seating for guests to enjoy. The main deck boasts an opulent dining table, complete with seating for up to 12 guests, lined in expansive windows, forming an indoor-outdoor space.This Is It yacht interior designNotable features onboard include a luxurious spa situated on her upper deck, a treatment area, sauna and shower. This Is It is scheduled to make her global debut at the Monaco Yacht Show and will be available for charter from April 2024. She is set to be the world’s largest charter motor catamaran.This Is It yacht exterior designIn terms of performance, This Is It can reach top speeds of up to 19 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots, with a range of 3,500 nautical miles at 10 knots.
