Last Thursday saw the official opening of a stunning new design showroom in Viareggio. The two story emporium has been purpose-built to display all of the latest materials, fixtures and fittings to create the ultimate superyacht interior.
The Styling Lounge has been fitted out with elegant storage cupboards, created by expert craftsmen from the Benetti shipyard. Each cupboard is a veritable Aladdin’s cave, full of beautiful fabric samples, leathers, woods, mosaics, tiles and marbles from the world’s top designers and craftsmen. It has been designed as a one-stop-shop for yacht owners to review, compare and select the finest materials on offer.
The showroom is finished in high-gloss lacquered Zebrano wood with cream leather furniture and smoked glass screens. Its classic elegance is in contrast to the already existing Styling Lounge, located just 50m away, which has a slightly more contemporary feel, and is used almost exclusively by Azimut customers.
“Our aim was to create the optimum environment where yacht buyers can immerse themselves in the creative process of interior design and styling. There are separate areas for laying out plans, reviewing samples, viewing renderings on large screens, working and relaxing” says Giulia Galanti, the manager overseeing both showrooms. She adds, “We can satisfy a myriad different tastes and preferences to piece together interiors that are an accurate reflection of the buyers’ character and personal style”.
Over 80 people attended the elegant reception last night, including captains, brokers, suppliers.
