Italian shipyard Otam has released the latest building progress updates on their very first aluminium fully custom yacht, the SD35. Named Gipsy, she is being built for an experienced Italian client, with both interior and exterior designed by Tommaso Spadolini, and comes in at just under the 300 GRT mark at 295 GRT.
She accommodates guests over four VIP cabins on the lower deck in addition to the luxurious full beam owner’s suite located on the upper deck. The main deck is completely dedicated to guest leisure and entertainment, with an almost 40 sqm main salon complete with movie theater and a full beam dining area forward. The main deck also hosts the service areas, with a fully furnished galley and a 25 sqm pantry with separate access for the crew.
Performance wise she will has a top speed of 22 knots, as well as a range of 1,000 nm at a speed of 11 knots.
Currently the vessel is right on schedule at around 30% complete, with the hull confirmed to be finished, the propulsion systems and generators installed, and the superstructure almost complete.
