Amels and Damen Yachting have announced that the second unit of the Amels 60, the 60-metre superyacht Project Witchcraft, hull number 6002, has entered her outfitting stage following her technical launch. She has been transported to Damen Yachting’s main facility in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.
Outfitting on the project commenced a year after the announcement of her sale, which was facilitated by Moran Yacht & Ship, who are also supervising the project. Sean Moran of Moran Yacht & Ship comments, “On behalf of the whole Moran Yacht & Ship team we are delighted that 6002 has reached this important milestone. We have had the pleasure of working with the Amels yard and their skilled craftsmen on several projects now, and we look forward to her successful delivery in Autumn of 2022.”
Project Witchcraft, a Limited Editions design, has been penned by Espen Øino. Her overall design, Øino explains, “Is an extremely well-optimised design. Together with the Amels team we invested a lot of time fine-tuning, really looking back at the Limited Editions past, talking to clients. We were very aligned with Amels and I think that shows in the result. She looks beautiful.”
Photo: AmelsThe owner has worked closely with the shipbuilders to customise the project to their particular preferences as well as modifications to the exterior styling of the superyacht. The outfitting phase of this project will see the client’s and her creators’ visions come to fruition. Jan van Hogerwou, Damen Yachting’s Commercial Executive USA, says, “This is a very significant milestone for Project Witchcraft. It’s great to welcome her to the home and heart of our Amels’ yachts. The entire team is very excited to enter this next phase which will see hundreds of craftsmen and women together with our co-makers really start to transform this Amels 60 into the Client’s inspirational vision.”
Photo: AmelsThe 830 GT superyacht will accommodate as many as 12 guests across six staterooms, and will feature an interior design described by Amels as “light and airy”, thanks to her large main deck windows and interior styling. Some of Witchcraft’s standout features include her spacious sun deck, 9-metre tender and her large, overall volume.
