After a successful show season, there was all the more reason to celebrate last week at the premier event of the year for the superyacht industry. The eighth edition of the SuperYacht Times Party saw more than 1,300 industry professionals and friends gather in Amsterdam to enjoy a night dedicated to loving our oceans.<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/302457066" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe>Leading Dutch shipyard and platinum sponsor <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/18" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amels (Company)">Amels</a> introduced the #LoveOurOceans theme at this year’s event, and took the opportunity to celebrate its 100 year anniversary. With entertainment and refreshments, the theme helped highlight the positive efforts and innovations available across our industry to reduce the environmental impact of luxury yachting.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/55176/image/large-54dc40b20019c0604c6df2f8739375d3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/55176">“Owning a superyacht is fun, we’re in the fun business, but we’ve all witnessed a growing appreciation of the threat that ocean pollution is to the long-term sustainability of our industry,”&nbsp;said Victor Caminada, Marketing Director, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/18" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amels (Company)">Amels</a>.&nbsp;“It’s our clients’ playground and the problem reaches all our shores. The show is one of the leading exhibitions dedicated to the boating industry in the area and will feature over 220 exhibitors and 300 vessels. In actual fact, the average length of the current in-build yachts in Turkey is 49 meters, with many of these yachts being motor yachts and motor-sailors as well as gulets.
