Overmarine has launched the fifth motor yacht in its Mangusta 94 line this month which was built for an American client. The Italian group reports that this will be its seventh Maxi Open project delivered to US waters within the last five years. What makes the Mangusta 94 ideal for cruising in American and Caribbean waters is its low draft. With a maximum draft of 1.6 metres, the yacht can take her guests to cruising ground only accessible to much smaller yachts. Combined with an open living plan and a need for speed, this seems like a good option for cruising in this region.
On this particular unit, the owner selected Winch Design to create the custom interior of the yacht while the shipyard’s skilled craftsmen took care of the execution of the design.
The Mangusta range of open sports yacht ranges from 74 feet to 165 feet, making the 94 one of its mid-level options to clients. Designed to go fast, the 94 can reach speeds up to 36 knots thanks to its MTU M96L motors.
