Overmarine Shipyard, which is well known for their Mangusta series of large open superyachts, has announced the acquisition of Baglietto Group. The Group includes two of the most iconic brands in the superyacht industry: Baglietto and Cantieri di Pisa.
Baglietto was founded in 1854 by Pietro Baglietto and the company specialises in the construction of aluminium planing superyachts ranging from 30 to 44 metres and semi- and full-displacement steel motor yachts from 42 to 60 metres in length.
Cantieri di Pisa was founded in 1945 in Limite sull’Arno and introduced the Akhir line of motor yachts in 1972. Today the Akhir line consists of 5 fibreglass models ranging in size from 27 metres (Akhir 90) up 46 metres (Akhir 153).
The complete range of superyachts will be marketed directly by Overmarine and its subsidiary offices.
