Onboard CeFeA: Owner Marc Giorgetti on his sailing yacht without limits

Launched in August 2020 at the Performance Boats shipyard, the Solaris Yachts’ super sailing yacht CeFeA is the largest Solaris built to date. At 33.77-metre in length the vessel has some seriously cool features which make her both a high performance racing yacht and a top luxury cruiser. SYT stepped aboard the yacht, which came on the market in September, to chat to her owner and to find out a little more about the vessel.Marc Giorgetti owner of Solaris YachtsPhoto: Guillaume Plisson Chatting to CeFeA’s owner Marc Giorgetti on deck as the sun went down at the MYS, I asked him what he felt were the best features of the yacht; “For me it is her excellent performance, weighed by the fact that she is a comfortable cruising yacht that has all of the features of a much larger motor yacht, such as climate control, impressive noise reduction and the aesthetic to match.” CeFeA yacht sailing Photo: Guillaume PlissonGiorgetti is the major shareholder of CeFeA’s builder, Solaris Yachts, and when I enquired about his reason for selling her, he explained that he was in the process of constructing another vessel, slightly greater in length. “CeFeA has been the ideal yacht for me and my family, but it is time to move onto something a little different. We have recently finalised the designs for the new yacht and I can’t wait to start building her. It's going to be a very exciting vessel that matches or even exceeds CeFeA in her performance and comfort!”CeFeA yacht sun deck Photo: Guillaume Plisson CeFeA yacht anchoredPhoto: Guillaume PlissonAs an avid yachtsman, Giorgetti worked closely with the yacht's designers to create a vessel that ticked all of the boxes. Featuring an exterior design from Studio MYT, which is also the creative mind behind her luxurious interiors, and naval architecture from Javier Soto Acebal, the Solaris Yacht can accommodate as many as nine guests between four comfortable staterooms. One of the most notable things about the vessel's interior is the large spaces which seem to open up as you walk through the yacht, culminating in the master stateroom to aft which is filled with light from windows which wrap along the aft wall and ceiling. This aft location also means that when there are many guests onboard, they have access to the stateroom without having to walk through the entire vessel, offering her owners additional privacy.CeFeA yacht anchored at night Photo: Guillaume PlissonThe vessel seems to have internal volumes which belies her length. The main saloon is finished in creams and neutral tones which create a calm and homely atmosphere, while curved forms from the wooden finish on the ceiling to the arms of the settee lend an organic and romantic aesthetic. With a large dining table on one side and an L-shaped settee on the other, the main saloon is the perfect location to relax after a long day on the water, especially if you are sailing in the colder climates of the northern hemisphere.CeFeA yacht saloonPhoto: Guillaume PlissonCeFeA yacht diningPhoto: Guillaume PlissonMoving forward from the saloon is a raised chart table, where guests can pour over their itinerary and plan the route of their cruise. From here there is access to the three additional staterooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, which have been finished with panelled walls that lend the space an Asian influence. The bathrooms are complete with gold taps and black marble tops and walls which have a true superyacht style.CeFeA yacht stateroomPhoto: Guillaume PlissonCeFeA yacht stateroomPhoto: Guillaume PlissonWhile there is no doubt the yacht can pick up some serious speed under canvas, with her massive 312 square-metres of sail, even under power CeFeA can reach top speeds of 11 knots. She also has a range of 1,700 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 9.5 knots, so even if the wind fails you, you are sure to get to wherever your heart desires!
