But she’s also the bedrock for the B.Century family.&nbsp;From the design of one yacht – <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5920" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Artisan63.0m (206'8&quot;)Benetti SpA2019">Artisan</a> – <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a> sold six yachts between 63-metres to 67-metres in a period that was far from the post-covid frenzy. To sell a 60-metre yacht in 2017 was quite something, let alone six of them in quick succession. “The family is the most successful line ever in the size range to be presented by a shipyard,” Cassetta confirmed. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/266295/image/large-5301f19804a51468d66a8f77a6d621b3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/266295">As bedrocks go, you don’t get much sounder. The B.Century family further refines its predecessors: embodying the core philosophical principles cemented by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5920" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Artisan63.0m (206'8&quot;)Benetti SpA2019">Artisan</a>, yet emboldened with soft, sculpted styling that gives the family a more organic look and feel. “To create a unique character for the B.Century family we drew each model with clean profile lines that encapsulate the undulating ‘wave’ typical to a <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a>superyacht with visual purity,” Cassetta explained. “What we did with this family in terms of styling is really something that will set a benchmark for some time in this size range. It’s easy to do a sporty, a dynamic or a simplistic design, but at the same time adding this level of functionality is something unrivalled.”&nbsp;Take the 75-metre model – the flagship from the family – we can clearly see this wave running from the bow across the main deck forward, gathering at the superstructure and then gently cascading aft. From this simple line, Cassetta and his team got to work, stretching the design across six decks with deft precision to create a Janis-faced harmony that blends tradition and modernity.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/266296/image/large-01afc09b0502407399c2801cc5d16530.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/266296">&nbsp;“More often than not, our clients are looking for better contact with the surrounding environment and a more informal experience,” Cassetta said. “To cater to these needs we’ve used more glass on the whole family than ever before and ensured that all areas are well connected – walkarounds on every deck is a good example of this. People like to be onboard spending time with family and close friends, so it's less important to create private sanctuaries. The sea club is partially covered by the overhanging main deck, and the shaded area is home to a nest of seats and a casual dining area, leaving room for the glass-walled swimming pool out in the open and positioned to offer guests undisturbed views. Two stairwells wrap the pool and lead directly to the sea club that, thanks to hydraulic wings, expands to 250 square-metres.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/266294/image/large-4c4ab530a630434ccbf5386248d167e4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/266294"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/266293/image/large-50b472d06358db0b3835ab8a20029b3a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/266293">The 75-metre model is presented with accommodation for 12 guests and 25 crew, so having strong circulation and easy flow is also incredibly beneficial for those working onboard. “A great deal of time was also spent mapping out the service areas, to maximise the quality of life for both guests and crew,” Cassetta noted. “However, while accessibility and social areas play a major role in the DNA of this family, we haven’t sacrificed the privacy of the owner. It’s not just her size, but most of all her stylish exterior and interior design that impress yacht lovers and make this superyacht an exclusive dream home on the high seas. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5122" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="List General Contractor GmbH (Company)">List General Contractor (List GC)</a> was commissioned with the project management of the interior fittings on four decks and a total of 745 m² and furnished the yacht with handcrafted special surfaces and exclusive fittings. The owner’s deck is equipped with an informal lounge and the sky lounge deck with a fitness room. We coordinate countless surveying and elaborate feedback and approval processes with the shipyard, design studio and subcontractors, including quality controls, until the assembly process on the yacht, which is accurate to the millimetre, can begin. This was also the case with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7335" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ahpo115.1m (377'7&quot;)Lürssen Yachts2021">Ahpo</a>, which was handed over to the owner in 2021. Herwig Schmallegger, Senior Coordinator Project Management at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5122" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="List General Contractor GmbH (Company)">List GC</a>, made sure that the project ran without a hitch. “In terms of construction, the project was an extremely small-scale and precise job. There was a huge number of components and countless special requirements and designs: communication on an equal footing and tact were our ingredients for success on this project.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/231029/image/large-cdcd9e34e92e615086b6c73b5a2093be.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/231029">Managing the expectations of the various project partners is also crucial. “The more the designers, owners, shipyard and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5122" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="List General Contractor GmbH (Company)">List GC</a> team are on the same wavelength, the better things will go. And things couldn't have gone better on the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7335" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ahpo115.1m (377'7&quot;)Lürssen Yachts2021">Ahpo</a> project,” adds Schmallegger. From the design idea to the exclusive special surfaceThe stylish mother-of-pearl 3D varnish finish by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5122" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="List General Contractor GmbH (Company)">List GC</a> is one of the highlights: it adorns the walls and parts of the ceiling of the Spa area and the Informal Lounge. The handmade special surfaces designed especially for the project make the yacht one-of-a-kind. In collaboration with the top-class design studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/65" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Nuvolari Lenard (Company)">Nuvolari Lenard</a>, the surfaces were perfectly matched to the customer’s wishes. Details specified by the design team, in the form of samples or visualisations, had to be created and recreated in detail – for example, from a 10 x 10 cm reference sample to an entire wall with a total area of 200 m². The sampling process continued for several months and required a high degree of creativity and craftsmanship.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/266648/image/large-441f1005e534e430d688b5ed348cee0b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/266648">An essential step here was to ensure that the surfaces were not only visually appealing but also hard-wearing. A common approach is therefore to test in advance how the surfaces will develop over a longer period of time. This is done by exposing the samples to extreme temperatures from -20 degrees to +40 degrees for two weeks – simulating what the ageing process over several years would look like. “When developing the special surfaces, we benefited greatly from our experience working on past superyacht projects. We knew exactly how to integrate all the processes into the tight schedule – and which steps required a particularly close eye or even sensitivity at times,” says Christof Hack, Engineer at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5122" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="List General Contractor GmbH (Company)">List GC</a>.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/257557/image/large-d57b1dd69bb45706d173f04eb1e48b1a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/257557">A marriage between elegance and safetyAnother highlight in the spa area besides the mother-of-pearl surfaces is the teak ceiling in leaf form, consisting of three large and two small leaves. The size of the individual sheets also presented us with challenges in terms of space. Every single step had to be weighed in the mind beforehand. Tomorrow, 9th June, the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/151" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Southern Wind (Company)">Southern Wind</a> Division is scheduled to set off at 11 a.m. with the same staggered start procedure as the Superyacht Division. The forecasts indicate a south-easterly wind of approximately 10-12 knots.To mark World Oceans Day, drawings by the Year 3 students from the primary schools of Arzachena, Cannigione and Abbiadori, created by children who took part in the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2826" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (Company)">YCCS</a> Clean Beach Day on 31st May, were projected on the LedWall in Piazza Azzurra.

Built as Project Venezia to the Mangusta Oceano 43 yacht model, she was delivered by the Italian shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/473" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Overmarine Group SPA (Company)">Overmarine</a> in January 2021. The three-deck superyacht, penned by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/3025" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alberto Mancini Yacht Design (Company)">Alberto Mancini Yacht Design</a>, features design elements such as wide glazed surfaces, skylights and special lighting solutions. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/8292" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Halara43.0m (141'1&quot;)Overmarine Group SPA2021">Halara</a> houses a beach club aft with a stern door to the sea platform, forward-facing infinity pool with a waterfall, a garage at the bow and several alfresco living areas. The interior has been coined by her builder's own design team alongside Italian designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/3025" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alberto Mancini Yacht Design (Company)">Alberto Mancini</a>. Onboard, she can accommodate up to 12 guests taken care of by a crew of seven. Performance-wise, the 451 GT superyacht can reach a top speed of 15 knots and cruise comfortably at 11 knots with a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
