The Palumbo Shipyard has announced a new contract for a Columbus 125’ Hybrid superyacht for delivery in August 2013. The Russian owner, represented by Jimmy Broddesson of Bluewater Yachting, has also secured the option to buy the second yacht in the series.
The superyacht is designed by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec Naval Architecture and construction of the motor yacht is due to start soon at the Neapolitan shipyard. The all-aluminium displacement superyacht measures 37.86 metres with a beam of 8.20 metres. Onboard is accommodation for 8 guests in one owner’s suite and three guest cabins.
The yacht features a diesel electric hybrid propulsion system, with the intention of having a minimal impact on the environment and she has a range of 5,000 nm.
