Just weeks after launching its first Truly Classic 128 superyacht named Vijonara, Pendennis is announcing that it will build a second unit in this design class created by Hoek Design from the Netherlands. Vijonara sailing Photo: Pendennis / Andrew Wright

This will become the fourth yacht in the series after Atalante, Vijonara and a third unit that is currently in build at SES Yachts in Turkey. MCM has been assigned as owner’s representatives for the duration of the project and Hoek Design will also work on the interior design of the yacht.

As the 30th new build project for the shipyard, this represents a special milestone in Pendennis’ timeline. “Pendennis has continually invested in both its facilities and skills base over the last 30 years, enabling the company to grow into a global contender,” comments Pendennis MD, Mike Carr. “Signing such a prestigious contract in this, our milestone year is a true testament to that. We are very proud to welcome this project into the Pendennis superyacht fleet.”

“We are proud to be involved in this project for a repeat client who previously owned a smaller yacht in the truly classic range,” said designer Andre Hoek. “The great experience working with Pendennis on SY Vijonara has definitely had an influence in the decision to build again with them."
