The Perini Navi 38 metre sloop is the first of a new breed of Perini Navi yachts with a clear inclination toward sportsmanlike performance. Performance achieved in comfort, safety and bearing the hallmarks of the core Perini Navi philosophy.
The designer, Philippe Briand claims: “We wanted to achieve power and performance and the yacht is specifically designed to excel in all conditions. Ultra sensitive in light airs, taut power in heavy winds.”
Her tapered hull is constructed of Sealium, an aluminium alloy with high mechanical properties that allows Perini Navi to optimize her lightweight structure: the total weight of C.2104 will not exceed 130t. The design includes a lifting keel with bulb (5.5 metre to 3.5 metre) and a 7t water ballast system.
The yacht will carry a 50 metre carbon fibre HI-Modulus mast with an upwind sail area of about 734sqm, the main sail will be held in a carbon fibre HI-Modulus Park Avenue boom. Strong and light weight PBO standing rigging will enhance her performance.
The construction of C.2104 at Cantieri Navali Beconcini – the Ligurian plant of Perini Navi – recently achieved an important step in the build process. On February 22nd the turning operation of the hull was completed and the Owner who personally thanked the management and all the workers for the admirable work completed up to now.
