Perini Navi has announced the sale of its first 42-metre performance-cruising sailing yacht from its new E-volution line. The new sloop has been sold to an experienced Italian owner.“The sale of the 42-metre E-volution to an expert and enthusiastic owner confirms that the quality, style and performance of our ships captivate and satisfy even the most knowledgeable and demanding customers,” said Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman and CEO of Perini Navi. Built entirely from aluminium, the new sloop was first revealed during a press conference held in Milan last December. Designed by Franco Romani, with naval architecture from the US studio of Reichel/Pugh Design, the sailing yacht is part of the new E-Volution line from Perini Navi. Developed as a powerful, yet easy-to-sail vessel with strong sail plan, she features laminated sails and carbon fibre mast, boom and rigging. She features a hybrid propulsion system which combines a diesel engine with an electric motor. “E-volution forms part of a new range of products that we’ve been working on over the last year and is reporting notable market success,” added Tacoli. “Innovation has always been one of the main values espoused by Perini Navi and we intend to continue to work on innovation in the years ahead, so we can offer our customers yachts that deliver ever better performance and have a unique style.”
