For four days, ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove will become a meeting place for world-leading yacht builders and designers, watersports toys and tenders and leisure and lifestyle brands to showcase their products for the increasing appetite of the Asian audience.The festival is seen as a major promotional tool and lead generator for the region’s expanding yachting industry. We want to show off the ‘stepping stones’ for anyone who wants to charter a boat or buy a Jet Ski, and then move on to becoming a boat owner. German builder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5961" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alva Yachts (Company)">ALVA Yachts</a> has unveiled the first renderings for a new 23.7-metre Ocean Eco 78 multihull yacht. The advanced electric yacht will join the shipyard’s growing fleet, which includes the flagship 27.5-metre Ocean Eco 90.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/262793/image/large-ef2c87a0179b87414e8e15bf59833033.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/262793">Designed with luxury and performance in mind, the Ocean Eco 78 catamaran boasts the latest technology developments with integrated solar panels and a fully-electric drive. Her solar panels take energy from the sun and store it in the battery packs that power the electric engines, giving her a transatlantic range and virtually unlimited autonomy.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/262794/image/large-67d6dc2d87ad8ea7ac122e41fda954a0.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/262794">“The new Ocean Eco 78 was created as the perfect addition to our existing range, and sits between the Ocean Eco 60 and 90 models providing owners with a generous increase in size from the 60 but removing the need for crew on the 90. Robert Lama has joined the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/244" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="IYC (Company)">IYC</a> team as a Sales Consultant based out of the Fort Lauderdale office.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/49166/image/large-e22efe6e2a46f17cc0ded2f7ce0609ea.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/49166"> Lama began his career in the commercial insurance industry, purchasing a small firm and transforming it into Lama Insurance, which became one of New York’s largest brokerages. After selling the firm to First Niagara Financial Group, Rob was appointed as the company’s Senior Vice President, where he guided the Insurance Division with over $600,000,000 in annual sales. He also founded Lama Commercial Real Estate, where he negotiated site acquisitions for a number of large American retailers, including Walmart, CVS, and Rite Aid. During this time, Lama owned a yacht in Miami for his entire family to enjoy.&nbsp;After moving to Miami, Lama combined his love of yachting with his business acumen, establishing <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5135" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Miami International Yacht Sales LLC. (Company)">Miami International Yacht Sale</a>. Lama’s business and negotiation experience enabled him to find his niche in the sale of vessels over 30-metres. He now joins <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/244" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="IYC (Company)">IYC</a> in 2023 after many years of successfully running his own yacht brokerage firm. Lama takes pleasure in finding the perfect yacht for his clients, and supporting them throughout the process.&nbsp;
